2004 feels like it heralds in a new era at
Allerhochst. Of course, nothing is completely new and the
influence of the previous ten years will remain strong. In
fact the 26 year dynasty of Ch Allerhochst Carl still continues
unabated.
The past few years has been a period of transition,
with the introduction of several outside dogs bred to our
girls in the attempt to move into the future. Periods such
as this provide both successes and disappointments. As we
have said earlier, some directions do not turn out as expected
and are not continued with, and others provide the road forward.
We bred Elke
to Ch Glenosci TG Ritchie and kept Allerhochst JEB Stuart
(Stuart). We bred Diesel to Ch Nottrott Wilde Hakim and kept
Allerhochst McLeod (Mac). Other breedings in that time provided nothing for us
to continue with.

The real move forward has come in the next generation,
particularly with Mac to this stage.
In late 2001, we bred Mac to Finn, a breeding
of half brother and sister on Diesel. From this litter
we kept the bitch Brojelie Kansas. She is a strong reminder
of Diesel as we would expect. Both her appearance and
character is so much like her mother, Finn and grandmother,
Diesel. Strong willed, athletic, hard and bursting with
energy she keeps Ron and Tracie at Allerzeit on their
toes. We are still considering directions to follow in
selecting a mate for her.

Allerzeit Enya
One year later, late 2002,
we bred Mac to Innes. Ron and Tracie have kept a beautiful
young female from this mating, Allerzeit Enya, and she
now takes her place in our breeding group having met her
breeding qualifications.
Between these
two matings, and soon after his mating to Finn (also
late 2001), Mac was bred to Elke and from this litter
we had a selection of stunning girls. Of course most
have become family companions, but we have introduced
into our breeding program two of these girls, Allerhochst
Kansas and Allerhochst Alaska.
Kansas has been shown sparingly and has been awarded
both challenges and reserve challenges as a youngster.
She received a V (excellent) grading at the Rottweiler
Club of SA speciality of June 2003, just a few days
over 18 months of age and then went better 12 months
later at the same show being V rated again and winning
Challenge Bitch at the age of 2 1/2. She is a small
but very impressive bitch of excellent type, in our
eyes, and provides great enjoyment to her family, Jenny
Buller and Neil Baker.
Alaska, on the other hand, has been raised and loved
by Bronwyn Taylor and her children, James and Allysha,
along with several cats and other pets. She is the epitome
of the true family companion and will never be shown.
However, she is also a bitch of excellent quality and
will make an important contribution to Allerhochst now
and in the future.

Allerhochst Alaska
Both Kansas and Alaska have
been bred to the beautiful dog, Grand Champion Blickscharf
Ashke.
Kansas had only a small litter, but from that litter
we are running on two boys and a girl with Jenny and
Neil, Cabulla Kris (more photos
of Kris can be seen on his puppy page), Cabulla
Konner and Cabulla Madison.
So, as 2004 set sail we felt like we were starting
anew here at Allerhochst. Ron and Tracie at Allerzeit had
the "older" dogs in Stuart and Mac as well as Brojelie
Kansas and Allerzeit Enya (of course with the retired Innes
still in residence). Jenny and Neil have Allerhochst Kansas
and her daughter Madison, as well as Regan, and Bronwyn has
Alaska with her daughter Scarlett.
In our home here at Allerhochst we had the puppy
male Kris and a young male acquired from VonderZenn Rottweilers,
VonderZenn Grimm v Hope, a son of Jenecks Punch (Imp USA)
and Ch Blickscharf Dark Sapphire.
This was the first time in 30 years that we
had not had an adult Rottweiler in our home. No wonder home
seemed like a nursery.
Since then Kris was re-homed so that we could take up the
kind offer from Ron & Tracie to welcome Mac into our home.
So as 2004 comes to a close we enjoy the company of Mac and
the ever growing Grimm who have become great mates to each
other. The next test is to wait on the results of Grimm’s
x-rays when time comes and hopefully that will qualify him
as a permanent member of our household.
